Univerus enters 2023 off the back of an incredible 12 months, and as we reflect on 2022, one event stands out above all the others.
Back in November, we hosted our annual conference for customers in the ANZ region at the Atura Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand.
The enthusiasm shown by attendees was fantastic and it was a pleasure to be able to bring Univerus software users together in person after many months of virtual meetings. The face-to-face interaction made a big difference, giving guests the opportunity to network and share their experiences of using Univerus products, with plenty of helpful tips thrown in too.
Don’t worry if you missed out – here are some event highlights.
Our speakers
It was a pleasure to have members of the Univerus leadership team with us for the occasion. Brad Atchison Terry Ridyard, and Josh Parkin all made the journey from Canada to share Univerus’ global strategy and highlight some of the additional services customers can access through the UNITY platform.
We were also joined by a special guest. Michael Fitchett captivated the room with an inspirational team talk, giving attendees an insight into his work as Head Coach for the Nelson Giants basketball team. Since 2021, Univerus has been a proud Nelson Giants sponsor, generating strong ties with the wider Nelson community throughout that time.
Brad Atchison (CEO, Univerus Inc.)
Brad introduced the event and gave an overview of UNITY; an intuitive interface that is being developed to consolidate all of Univerus’ applications in a single consistent platform. With this powerful integration tool at their disposal, Univerus users will be able to select the applications they need and quickly drop them into the same stack, reducing integration costs as well as avoiding the risks traditionally associated with app modernization.
Michael Fitchett (Head Coach, Nelson Giants Basketball)
As Head Coach of the Nelson Giants basketball team, Michael knows all about teamwork. He helped kick things off on Day One by sharing his experience of building effective teams. Most notably, the importance of honest and open communication when building trust among teammates and how it can lead to great achievements.

User Roadmap Collaboration Session
We closed the event by inviting attendees to provide ideas and feedback based on the current product roadmap to establish a list of new features that would be most valuable to the Univerus client base in future software releases.
Planning ahead – what to expect in 2023
Univerus will continue to make customer-led decisions and build on the success of our interactive sessions by hosting regular webinars and training courses throughout 2023. We recognize that these communication channels are key to keeping Univerus clients informed regarding future innovations and product releases.
Thank you to all our guests for making the conference such a success. Univerus looks forward to seeing you again in 2023!
